Favourite Travel Memory: Swiss Alps.

After trekking up to the 3500m summit through a horrendous blizzard, not being able to see a metre in front of me and feeling like my whole face had literally frozen off, the storm cleared and I was rewarded with the spectacular panorama of the Alps. I was on top of the world and then we skied down through virgin powder slopes for 3 hours of complete exhilaration!

Favourite Travel Memory: Rome.

Purchased an ice-cream at Giolitti, the best gelato café located near the Trevi fountain,  we then took a leisurely stroll along the cobbled streets to the Spanish steps, continuing  through Central Rome’s exclusive shopping area and finished at the Pantheon near the Piazza della Rotonda, a truly impressive city walk.

Favourite Travel Memory: Africa.

After days of travelling through the Delta in Botswana while on a camping safari and seeing the array of animals one sees while in Africa, we crossed the border into Zambia and Livingstone, where we swam out and looked over the edge and on top of the Victoria Falls. A thrilling and exhilirating feeling.

Favourite Travel Memory: Italy.

During my visit with Family in Fagnano Castello, Calabria, Italy during Winter, we had driven high up into the mountains in search of snow.  Sadly there were only signs of melting snow.  As we approached the top, we had stopped the car to get out and have a look around, suddenly the skies opened up and it started snowing! Within minutes we were covered in snow and it was an unbelievably exhilirating experience.  I hadn't seen snow in 28 years and at that precise time, it was as if, it snowed, just for us, very memorable!

Favourite Travel Memory: Beijing

Having Peking duck in a city where old mixes with new, from traditional tea ceremonies to the historical sites such as the Great Wall of China, Tiananmen Square, Temple of Heaven and Forbidden City to the modern development such as the National Stadium (bird’s nest).

Christmas in the Rocky Mountains USA was one of the most memorable holidays of my life... A beautiful home. great friends, ice cold Coronos direct from the patio. Fantastic skiing at Brackenridge, Vail and Aspen followed by a hot spa on the deck at -19 degrees... a magical place and magical times!!

Favourite Travel Memory: Etosha National Park Namibia.

While on a game drive just on sunset, a herd of 40 elephants walked directly towards our vehicle then split and walked around us, the feeling was indescribably surreal.

Favourite Travel Memory: Fiji

Blissfully laid-back and often quoted as "The way the world should be" the friendly Fijian islands is my dream of the perfect paradise. I love to picnic on the white sandy beaches, relax under swaying palms and swim in the beautiful azure lagoons. The friendly welcome everyone gives you - "BULA" Fiji is my pick of travel experiences.

Favourite Travel Memory: Colombia.

While wondering along Boca Grande an upmarket beach area in Columbia, we came across a Vallenato Band, five boys aged from 9 – 14 years, playing beautiful music. The next day we travelled through wild terrain and on arriving at a village one of the young boys from the band was there and told us to wait. Ten minutes later he returned with his friends and a fisherman. For the next couple of hours we were paddled around the mangroves, while his band played beautiful vallenato music.

Favourite Travel Memory: Maui.

It was early in the morning on the island of Maui , we arrived at the Summit of Mt Haleakala at predawn and gazed through powerful Telescopes. The air was very clear and I was in awe of the incredible night sky. After dawn we drove along the Hana Coast to the famous water falls. I jumped in and was able to swim from pool to pool own the hillside waterfalls to the sea.

Favourite Travel Memory: South Africa.

Seated in a corporate box at the 2010 Soccer World Cup in Nelspruit while Australia played Serbia. The sound of the vuvuzela’s blaring every second and the cheering from the stadium was electric.
Australia won the match 2-1.

Favourite Travel Memory: Venice.

Three weeks in Venice during winter- we wandered the narrow passages and sat at sidewalk cafes with the most amazing coffee and pastries to die for. Even now, when I think of Venice, I miss the magical feeling of being the only person standing in St. Mark’s Square, the misty mornings, beautiful architecture, amazing art, great food/wine and the serenading gondoliers.

Favourite Travel Memory: Europe.

The most fun I had was singing (well, that is what I call it) on the APT European River Boat cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam after sampling local wines with dinner. I met the most amazing people on board and formed great friendships whilst cruising down the Rhine. Each and every day was spent building a lifelong treasured memory box, one that I can share with you all.

Favourite Travel Memory: Mt Hotham.

Skiing out the front door of our self-contained cottage and then returning when the sun set to a perfectly heated room. I just loved all the fresh air, exercise, lots of laughs and then finally mastering how to ski!

Favourite Travel Memory: Cambodia
A visit to Cambodia was a life changing experience, through our school I embarked on an amazing journey, visiting an orphanage and helping the children read. The people of Cambodia are amazing, they live a very simple life yet are the happiest people I have ever met. The country is amazing and I also loved the shopping.
