Hi, I am Nicole Ghensi from the Mareeba Travel Experience team, I have just recently graduated high school beginning a career in travel. I specialise in Domestic flights, accommodation and transfers as well as Queensland Rail and Greyhound bookings. I am loyal to all my clients, providing them with the best customer care. I enjoy exploring the world and I believe adventure is worthwhile. I enjoy a variety of team sports which allows me to gain a considerable amount of confidence and social skills with others. I am ambitious and love being challenged. I enjoy being involved within the community and lending a helping hand when needed. I have shown leadership skills in the past, allowing me the opportunity to be chairperson of two committees.
My favourite travel experience would have to be going to Japan, Hakuba with a group of school students during my last year of high school. Hakuba is among the best main island resorts, the Hakuba region having hosted the Winter Olympics in 1998. It’s ideal for combining business and pleasure on the one trip. Among the 9 area resorts to choose from Happo One has some of the highest snowfalls and longest vertical pitches in all of Japan. Due to its altitude, Happo also boasts some breathtaking scenery, and its dry climate makes for fantastic powder skiing conditions. There are plenty of wide open runs, challenging steep slopes, powdery sections and even some back country areas. There are plenty of cultural activities to soak up while you visit Hakuba. Be sure to visit the local temples and historic sites including Masumoto Castle, Zenkoji Temple and you can’t forget to visit the cheeky snow monkeys. During my stay in Japan, I was astound with the many sights I had the privilege to experience as well as the excitement I felt for my first run of the day down the slopes.
